Dear Friends,
Hari Om!

I don't remember exactly,  how and when  my search for truth began ( i know it  in flashes and it could well be a million years back). But surely this  is the place where it ended for good. It in this valley that i finally accepted the universal truth from my core - That we are always with our own destination or perfection. Once this simple fact is realized, all the jigsaws of this mystery called life are auto-resolved and one  can  rest in its natural state for eternity  while  enjoying the wonders of  this multi-layered  and self-sustained  prism-play called life or existence.

Currently, I live in southern India with aged  parents and try to engage and share with society of whatever little  I know. This place by  the Ganga which is  about 5 kms beyond Uttarkashi  ( 1 km from Gangori, 385 kms from Delhi) on the Gangotri highway. Is now being shared with friends and  like- minded people. 

And if you or u family are not the spiritual kind, then this place offers best of nature and  lots of adventure opportunities. 

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE LOCATION

-Natural springs are located within 150 meters of the property.

-Crystal clear  and friendly Ganga water (non- rainy season), as its just 100 odd kms from its source i.e. Gaumukh.

-Gangori Park which ideal place for evening walks, children playground and late evening meditations as it overseas the meeting of Assi Ganga with main  the river. Is only a km away.

-Few hour walking trails are all over the place. With remote to very remote valleys.

- Big water falls are about 7 kms from the property.

- The Dodital  forest and trek is a huge restricted and well preserved area for nature lovers.

- Maneri Dam is  good scenic spot for evenings ( where u can see still ganga waters) and is about 8 kms from property

- Gangotri national park is about 80 kms by road.

- Harshil  which is a famous tourist spot is about 70kms away.

-Hot water springs -Gangnani  is about 40 kms away

- Tibetan and Buddhist culture can be experienced in Dunda about 20 kms  from the property.

-If  your missing some western food i.e. Pizza, pasta, momos.... then one of our friends -Cafe 18 provides one of the best eat outs in very modern environments.

-Local market where you can get all  groceries, daily products, fruits and vegetables is just 1 km away (Gangori).

-On bigger purchases they can also do door delivery.

- The property is  about 300 meters from  the highway and therefore offers lots of  silence and serenity

All the above are just a few of the  attractions for  general tourist ,nature lovers and adventure seekers.

FOOD

- All basic cooking facilities are available in the room. like rice cocker, electric induction cooktop, sandwich maker, juicer, electric kettle and coffee maker.

- The care-taker of the place Ms Vijma Devi is a local Garhwali and  cooks  healthy and tasty north-Indian, south-Indian and local dishes at request. 

- Farm fresh milk, greens and other local produce are also available on request.

- For self-cooking  gas burner , cylinder and all utensils are also available at request.

ACCOMDATION

Currently there are only 2 rooms on offer, one is about 200 sq feet and the other is about 140 sq. feet.Facilities in these two rooms are basic.

Moksha House is by default is designed to be a place of study, self-exploration and contemplation,  and therefore provides basic living amenities.  However, with time more accommodation space and amenities will be added,  however it will  always remain  a  Kutia (cottage used by Rishi and ascetics) from its core.

COST

Last but not the least, the rental for this place will vary from the time of year you will be visiting (summer or other season) and the duration of stay .But the rates will always be  very reasonable ,To give a general idea -  the cost of long term stay/accommodation (a month or more ) INR 350 -500 rupees per day. For short term stay INR 500 to 1000 rupees per day depending on no of people.
